- Transition Coalition Online Training Modules
The Transition Coalition has created transition training modules specifically for Missouri that include policies, content, forms, topics and resources specific to Missouri.
- Online Transition Short Courses
A series of five short courses (4 weeks per course) are provided to secondary special education teachers from across Missouri.

The Missouri Transition website provides transition information, resources, and answers specific to Missouri. This website is home to the Missouri Community of Practice including discussion forums on various transition topics, a Training Calendar, regular Ask the Expert events, and materials and resources specific to transition in Missouri.
- Ask the Expert Events
These 2-week online events in which experts on different transition topics provide information and answer questions directly from participants.
- Missouri Models of Success
Missouri school districts are solicited for effective transition programs, practices, materials, instructional approaches, and curriculum. Identified models are shared online so others can enhance or replicate the models in their districts.
- Missouri Community Agency Search
The Missouri Community Agency Search was created as a way for Missouri Community Transition Team members to create and use an online searchable database of agencies and organizations throughout Missouri for locating potential services and supports for transition.
Face to face training and support
- Face-to-face training sessions
Typical workshop-style training sessions are provided periodically throughout the year on various topics related to transition. Information about the availability of these training sessions is provided through SELS and www.missouritransition.org .
- Transition Liaisons
The Missouri Transition Liaisons provide input into statewide guidance documents, review professional development trainings and resources, collaborate with RPDC Consultants, Transition Coalition and the DESE, and disseminate information at both the district and regional level. The Transition T.I.M.E.S. outlines some of the accomplishments of Transition Liaisons.
- Transition Teams
The Missouri Interagency Transition Team (MITT) promotes interagency collaboration in Missouri at the state-level by establishing a group vision for improving outcomes for young adults with disabilities. Missouri Community Transition Teams (CTTs) are being developed and supported to elevate community awareness of and commitment to the improvement of post-secondary outcomes of youth with disabilities. The CTT Newsletter outlines some of the accomplishments of Missouri Community Transition Teams.
