Implementing Evidence-Based Practices to Increase Graduation Rates and Decreasing Dropout Rates for Students with Disabilities in Pennsylvania
Learn how Pennsylvania uses a State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP) to increase the graduation and decrease the dropout rate for students with disabilities. They use five phases to work with state and local stakeholders.
The five phases are:
- Establishing a local team and an Early Warning System (EWS)
- Analyzing attendance, behavior and course performance data
- Identifying target areas for interventions for students who are off-track
- Developing an action plan
- Implementing and monitoring an evaluation plan
