School Administrator
This person can help with school-wide decisions, identify areas for professional development, support decisions based on school data, and support changes in class schedules or rooms. to facilitate small group interventions or organization of a private space for outside agencies to provide mental health services
General Education Representative
Can provide input on how students are functioning in the classroom setting, support buy-in on staff professional development, support universal school-wide programming
Special Education Representative
Ensures that programming, screening, or small group interventions are accessible to students with disabilities, advocates for the use of universal design for learning to support student access to content, help connect students with disabilities to services through the Individualized Education Program (IEP)
Academic School Counselor
Provide insights into student functioning, classroom schedules, and trajectories of student academic pathways
School Psychologist
Can support implementation of universal screening in the building or classroom, can direct and administer targeted comprehensive screening, work with the school team to make data-based decisions
Community Organization Representation
School teams may consider having a representative from a community-based organization as part of the team. Community-based organizations can provide direct input on what services are available to be “pushed into” a school versus a student being referred out, which can support more immediate and effective therapeutic services.
